Latest News Story: New Melrose Adoption Center Grand Opening Aug 28-29

Breaking News: June 8, 2010, Puppy Hill Farm was Burglarized; we need your help!

Sometime in the early morning hours of Monday June 7th, thieves entered the premises of our new adoption center, currently under construction, and stole over $6000 worth of equipment. This is a major setback for our Animal Rescue, which runs on the generous donations of people like you. Please read on for more details and how you can help

Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue, home to over 65 dogs and 40 cats and kittens all looking for forever homes, has just been victimized by crime.

We have been working hard to get our new adoption facility at 8714 SR 21 in Melrose open so that we can grow and help even more animals find homes. The building is looking fabulous and is nearly ready for its four-legged tenants, but Sunday night, it was burglarized. Stolen were two brand new (installed about 1 week ago) air conditioning units valued at about $6000. We were told by the police that the robbers probably sold the scrap copper an aluminum for about $50. Under the current renovation insurance policy in effect on the property, this loss is not covered and we are now forced to purchase new ac units.

We recently had our biggest fundraiser of the year and have been planning to raise funds with a garage sale later this month, but this burglary has really hurt us.

Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization, completely run by volunteers, that relies on the generosity of good citizens and animal lovers like you to keep our efforts going.

We are asking for your help to get back on track and get homeless animals into the new facility. If you're able to make a donation of any amount, please do. Puppy Hill needs its friends and fans more than ever to rebound from this horrible situation so we can get back to doing what we do best: saving lives.
